libavahi-common-dev software package provides Development files for the Avahi common library, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libavahi-common-dev
libavahi-common-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libavahi-common-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libavahi-common-dev *
You will get with libavahi-common-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
